Umbrella making is classified under conventional industry. Handmade umbrella requires lots of human labor, because there are many steps in making an umbrella. First at all, a roll of fabric is cut as two to three long strips.
Each strip is then again cut into triangle-shape panels. Several triangular panels are sewed together to form a canopy.
The canopy has to be sewed onto a frame and then attached with a tie band. The final step is to attach a handle and a ferrule.
